I'm very pleased to say that we had a sudden rush  of last-minute of entries just before the deadline, (so the random drawing will be able to go as planned.), and there are lots of tasty-looking cakes that now need your votes to help them in the Audience Choice category!

To make voting as easy as possible, I've compiled all the entries into one deviation, and assigned each one a number. Simply click here, choose your three favourite entries, and post their corresponding  numbers as a comment on the compilation picture (or note them to the club, if you prefer to remain anonymous ;)).

There will be one Audience Choice winner, as well as a First Place, Runner-Up, and random 'raffle' winner. All winners will be announced on Monday, the 18th--the day after voting ends. Click here for more information on this contest.

In other news, we received a message the other day, seeking help designing a logo for Asexuality Awareness Week. Here's the message:

"I'm part of the asexual awareness week committee, and right now we're looking for a logo design. We can't offer any prizes or anything at the moment, but I was [wondering if] some of you might be interested in participating.

These are the guidelines:

• The logo should say "Asexual Awareness Week". Optionally, you can include the year. You may even wish to make versions of the same logo with and without it.
• Use the colors of the asexual flag.
• Avoid using anything alluding to budding or amoebas (it could be misleading or make asexuality seem like a joke).
• The final logo should be a vector image, but if you don't know how to use any vector drawing tools, don't worry. You can create logos any way you like (even a scanned sketch would be fine). If it gets chosen, someone else can create a vector version for you.
• Include any fonts you used (or if it's vector turn the text into outlines) when you send it.
• If you're using any pantone or web colors, make note of it somewhere.

All submissions should be sent to logo@asexualawarenessweek.com by April 20th."
[We've been informed that there are some technical issues at the moment regarding this email address. Interested people should instead be send a PM to BlueCerinthe here on deviantART, who will give you an alternate email address and make sure your submissions get through.]

So, if any of you are aspiring graphic designers, or just have a random great idea of how to represent asexuality, this might be an interesting thing to get involved with. :)

Have a nice week everyone, and remember, voting ends this coming Sunday, the 17th, at 11:59 PM EST--only about four or five days from now--so please vote as soon as you get the chance. :)

I'm sorry to say, logo@asexualawarenessweek.com doesn't work: everything bounces! I'm working on fixing the problem, but in the mean time Please send me a PM here on deviantART and I'll send you my private e-mail so you can send your entries to me and I can send them on to the committee. I'm terribly sorry about this inconvenience, but we don't want to miss any really great ideas!
